How I Met My Brother
A Tribute To B. Jeffrey Grant-Clark
I can’t stop the tears when they come. Nor do I want to. Right now they keep me connected to you, my brother. My friend. My crazy, loving friend!
So what is your name, anyway? (Inside joke, but probably not.)
When we met, you were the Organ player dude at my sister’s church. Then I found out that you and Annette were very instrumental in the lives of my sister and her family. Then I found out that you all were the kids' Godparents. Then I found out that you were my brother.
My brother, who without judgment, understood my love for God, and my complicated relationship with the church.
But then I found out that you were a Gospel music superstar! Dude, you should hear how these folks is talkin’ about you out here in these streets right now! LoL!
Everything they say is fact.
Thank you for the way you always loved and looked out for my sister and the family. Thank you for always being consistent.
Lord knows, thank you for the laughs, and most of all, thank you for the ‘Brothership’ that we will always share.
I have a million other things to thank you for, But I’ll just thank God for you, and tell you the rest when I see you!
